Your official Merritt College student ID card serves as your library card as well.

All currently enrolled students are eligible to receive a student identification card. The cost of replacing ID cards is $5 (in cash). The Student Activities Office is available for in person services Mondays through Thursdays from 9 am to 4 pm and Fridays from 9 am to 12 pm in R124.

To obtain a student ID card or an updated semester sticker, email the following information to mc-studentactivities@peralta.edu:

  • First and last name (Make sure your name is spelled correctly and it matches the name you used when you apply/register at Merritt College)
  • Student ID number
  • Current mailing address
  • A photo/portrait of yourself: Make sure your photo is clear. Please do not send photos wearing hats/caps/sunglasses/mask/ filters etc.

Once Student Activities has received all the information above, the student ID or sticker will be mailed to you. To obtain a replacement card and pay the fee, please schedule and appointment by emailing mc-studentactivities@peralta.edu.

Student ID cards must be presented in order to check out any library materials. Student ID cards from any of the other Peralta Colleges are also acceptable.
